Kick clip makers compared
In short: four AI clip makers say on their own pages that they take Kick: RipClip, OpusClip, Eklipse and StreamLadder. RipClip takes Kick VOD and clip links on every plan, the free one included. Eklipse lists Kick as a Premium feature, StreamLadder imports Kick VODs and clips by link, and OpusClip lists Kick in its help centre. The right one depends on whether you want game-event detection, phone apps, a full editor or a posting calendar.

What each stands out for
- RipClip: a full timeline editor, a posting calendar and view tracking on every plan.
- Eklipse: game-aware detection across more than 3,000 games, and a mobile app.
- StreamLadder: facecam-and-gameplay layouts and phone apps.
- OpusClip: many import sources, team plans and an API.
The pages we checked for Klap, Vizard, Submagic, CapCut, Descript and Captions did not mention Kick links; they work from uploads or other link sources.
What to check before you choose
- Kick on your plan. Some tools take Kick only on paid plans, or list it in one place and not another.
- Stream length. Can it take your whole stream, or only an hour of it?
- What the free plan exports. Some free plans only preview clips; others export with a watermark.
- How clips are found. Game-event detection suits gameplay; reading the whole stream suits talk, IRL and mixed streams.
- What happens next. Do you need a real editor, scheduling and view counts, or just the clips?
