How to edit stream highlights faster
In short: stop scrubbing. Mark moments while you're live, let software do the first pass on the whole VOD, save your caption and layout look once, and batch the boring part by scheduling a week of clips in one sitting. Your job becomes reviewing, not rebuilding.
1. Mark moments while you're live
On Twitch you can say "Twitch, Clip That" during your stream and a clip is made for you (Twitch help). On Kick, clips can be made live or from the VOD (Kick help). Either way you have a list of moments before the stream ends.
2. Let software do the first pass
Watching a four-hour VOD back is the slow part. A clipper reads the whole stream and proposes the moments. With RipClip you paste the Kick or Twitch VOD link and get vertical, captioned clips to review.
3. Save your look once
Pick your caption style, font and layout once and save it as a preset, so every clip from your next stream starts finished. RipClip has 19 one-tap caption templates and saved presets.
4. Review, don't rebuild
Keep the clips that work, fix the cut on the ones that almost do, drop the rest. Most fixes are a trim or a caption word.
5. Batch the posting
Schedule the week in one sitting instead of posting every day by hand. RipClip's calendar posts to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and X. Posting switches on platform by platform as each one approves RipClip; until then, download your clips and post them yourself.
